Bordon Army Cadets
Dating back to 1859, the Army Cadet Force (ACF) is a voluntary youth organisation which seeks to provide all-round development for young adults aged 12-18.
Progressive training includes:
- Navigation
- Drill
- Basic battlefield skills
- First aid
- Weapons skills
- Target shooting
Cadets also get opportunities to undertake:
- Adventurous training - mountaineering, kayaking, climbing, biking
- Duke of Edinburgh's Award from Bronze to Gold level
- BTEC in Public Services (worth 3 GCSEs)
- Leadership and teaching skills
- Overseas exchange trips
- Most sports in teams up to National level
- Music tuition in an ACF band
